| Recent
Activities |
| In November 2010, the choir marked the 70th
anniversary of the bombing of Coventry with a performance
in Coventry Cathedral of the War Requiem by Benjamin
Britten. They were joined by soloists, the Parliament
Choir, the Cathedral girl choristers, the Southbank
Sinfonia, and the ESO Chamber Orchestra. The performance
was repeated a few days later in London at Westminster
Cathedral. Easter 2011 brought two more concerts with the ESO, firstly an evening called "The Grand Tour" in Cirencester Parish Church at which the choir sang Vivaldi's Gloria. This was followed a week later on Good Friday with a performance of Bach's St John Passion in Coventry Cathedral. Then the final concert before the summer holidays, also with the ESO, took place in the delightful setting of Tewkesbury Abbey with the choir singing Purcell's "My heart is inditing" and Handel's "Dixit Dominus". |

| The choir again contributed to the BBC's Songs of Praise "The Big Sing" which was recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in September 2011. The two programmes are scheduled to be broadcast on Christmas Day and New Years Day. |

| Saint Michael's Singers will be joining
again with the ESO in Mozart's C minor Mass in
Coventry Cathedral in November, and twice at Christmas with
a performance of Handel's Messiah in Ledbury and a concert
